6.5hp briggs and stratton intek

will a horizontal briggs and stratton 6.5 ohv intek engine work on a go kart? if yes should i hook it up to the carb butterfly?

It would work on a gokart.
I would personally hook it up to the carb. Just don't go lead foot.

Ya they're the same BASE.. far too many changes done to be considered the same engines.. including changes to the block

kinda like how cars are built on a certain body

They sell billet rods for the Intek and such.
