Hey guys i just picked up a 6.5 HP brand new champion gasoline engine. My tires are 13" tall. I have a centrifugal clutch 12 teeth #35 chain.

What size sprocket should i have for single wheel drive?

I dont want all speed and no torque,

And i also dont want no speed all torque

check out this site http://webpages.charter.net/jeffparker/speed_calc.htm how big is your kart? i have a 6.5hp on my rather small kart and with a 12-50 reduction it really gets along even with a 95 kg (200 lb) rider. it winds out heaps, i can go up the whole street and its still got more in it you should go with a 60+ tooth

A "normal" ratio of 12:60 will give you a good amount of speed, but very little torque for hill climbing from low speed. If you want more torque, try the 72 tooth sprocket in the back.
