there is an American one??
Oh, your watching THAT Top Gear. I hate the british version. The American makes me fall over in laughter.
What is the point of this?
THe anwser:okay now it will not even run, also the nut holding the carb on is 3/8th but it will not fit a 3/8 socket or open wrench so i am lost at what to do
10mm-
The "stabilizer crap" adds octane about 25.Elaborate on "not run"
it wont start at all now? Make sure you put everything back the same..
check and recheck...
Id dump any previous gas you had in your fuel tank prior and put some fresh gas in it. You may have had some water in the old gas prior to you having issues.
Save some of the old gas in a glass jar if ya want.. if it had water in it you will see bubbles at the bottom of the glass......if it looks like solid gasoline with no bubbles or dirt at the bottom of the glass jar then you are good. Don't put any of that stabilizer crap in the gas either. As to the other posters comment about the fuel mixture, get the cart running again before you start experimenting with fuel, additives, meth, etc.
That should help, I hade to do that also.well it will sound like it is going to turn over but just stop before it fires so i am going to get a new spark plug today and see if that will fix it
Well I don't know. I just saw on top gear when the guy tested his plane he said if there was any water it would show as a separate layer on top.
Then hes an idiot:toetap05:

YES!!!!!there is an American one??
I love it.History Channel, Sundays at 10 EST. Better humor.
Good.Sweet thanks I'll go check that out.
I agree!!!If you like actual car analysis and watch it for the vehicular value, the British one is much better. If you want some car info and a good laugh as well as entertainment, the American one is for you.
^^^ What was the point of this? And Sta-bil is a stabilizer that helps gas keep when it's going to sit for a while and would otherwise get stale and varnish.
A mini cup racer said " It will be about like running Methonal, should give you 25 octane more, Walker" Alen Mason Mini-Cup #53
Do you even know what the octane level indicates??? Octane indicates the resistance to detonation, as in, the temperature at which the fuel/air mixture ignites. Contrary to popular belief, higher octane fuel WILL NOT make your engine faster or more powerful and IS NOT cleaner than regular ol' 87 octane.
I know but, it gets higher hp:cc , and runs a little smoother.
Like said above, higher octane gas is only good for high compression engines to prevent knocking. In high compression engines, the compression alone can compress the fuel air mix to the point where the mix detonates prior to the spark firing causing the internals to knock. An average kart engine is probably not going to have a high enough compression ratio to warrant higher octane gas, or even octane booster. Stabilizer makes sense if you don't kart often, but not octane booster.
It does not improve the power output of your engine (hp:cc in your words). It's not worth the $$$.
But nice if you don't have GAS.
