6.5 clone timing issue

I have the arc 6619 flywheel and have not had any issues for reference on my clone.

I think they may have sent you their PVL flywheel. It requires a different coil.

I just modded my 6.5 clone and installed an ARC billet flywheel #6626 with 2 magnets and have no issues with it. My coil gap is set to .030 & my valve lash is set to .003 at TDC on compression stroke. Running stock plug for now.

How did you set the timing? Was it 32°btdc. Or did you put it back workout re-timing?

The flywheel in the link above does not look like the one he has installed.

I just noticed that. My point was that PVL ignition flywheels have 2 magnets. Maybe the magnets for ARC's PVL version were installed in his flywheel by mistake.

Well.... I tried the fixed position without adjusting the timing and the TX fired right up! That's what I get for being inpatient I guess. Went for a test drive out to the dunes. And it ran great.

I agree. Try get covers for everything if you can. Clutch etc. Sand is a killer of parts
