if you dont have a press, that would be a fine buy, a press is so much easier to work with when drilling holes rather than a stupid hand drill

This kinda off the subject but why does harbor freight have 3 different part numbers for the 6.5 hp engine. I didn'tunderstand my other post either.

I have that drill press it is good. But it does not come with clamps.
A C-clamp is a pain in the butt to use because the bottom of the work platform is not flat.
So get the HF clamps for the drill press as well:

Take it home and check it for square and runout and slop. If not so good, exchange it right away. Other than that, the table looks a little flimsy but so what: $55.

Runout and slop yes. As far as square... The plate is adjustable to help square the drill to the work.
Either way it always works. and beats the he L out of a hand drill.
Sometimes the top and / or bottom castings are not machined square so the entire machine sits cockeyed.
