I'll only be 14 when my bike is finished and ridable :mad2: and i was wonder in if anyone knew of a place in western colorado where i could get a 50cc or less engine, because in my town, and most towns, if its less or equal to 50cc then its still considered a bicycle and is street legal to ride with no drivers lisence...?

thanks in advance... :roflol:

i was thinking chainsaw engine (only about 35cc) but based on the youtube videos it would difficult and not much torque even though most of were ill be riding is asphault roads, theres like on flat dirt road in town but it will be paved by the time the bike is ridable so torque isnt all that important for me. anyone think the chainsaw with a clutch is a good idea. heres a link with a good way to hook up the throttle and kill switch, pretty cool. the guy gets about 25 on this bike i think

Throw a small chainsaw engine or weed wacker engine up. After you get it registered switch to a larger engine and remove any lables that state engine size. Cops don't have any idea how big ur engine is.

ive made about 50million motorised bikes with weedeater engines, they work realy well, and end up costing about $10 to build. just make sure its spindle drive with a small spindle, then youl be able to go up hils

I thought up this because I was wanting to make a mini bike and register as a moped under 49cc because I'm 15 and have a moped license. You just have the normal engine plate and then get one of these deals:

It fits right into a 4 stroke mount and allows you to use one of those 49cc 2 strokes they have on pocket bikes like this

Register it, then take the 2 stroke and the mount off and your good to go with a normal 4 stroke 5 or 6.5 hp or whatever you want.
