When taking pics of your welds, 2 things. First, make sure your camera is set for close up(press the little button with the flower/mountain on it) Second, set the camera to the highest resolution and take the picture from further away, then crop the picture.

Trying to give you a tip bro. I've been using the pos HF welder for a couple years now, every newb does the same stuff wrong and will just keep doing it.

Well Today I got some (albiet expensive) 3/4 tube, to practive welding that up.... I learned it conducts, and stores heat, much bettter than sheet metal.... I must have gotten non-insulated gloves, because I sure as hell felt it when I went ot pick it up, even after a couple minutes of cooling...

Ill post 'em later.. the first one was awful, but the fillet welds came out pretty darn good.. not worrying about astetics...

Its much easier to weld... I did only two test welds, first on Lo- Wire speed: 5... it seemed raised. Second: Max Wire speed: 5... perfect penetration... somewhat flat, yet not burned through... Although I must say I did burn through a couple times, but quickly was able to fill it..

When they say not to stack welds, without chipping, does that mean once it has turned from Red to "metal colour" or at any time... because I filled them while they were red hot, hoping that would prevent the infusion of flux..

it only stays red for like a few seconds.

if your gloves are welding gloves, they arent too insulated... but keep in mind how hot that metal is to melt.

I haven't used flux core, but I would chip/brush before going back over. It will help to ensure clean, strong welds.

I agree and today i welded with a different ground clamp and i forgot to take pics but it came out slightly better but not too noticeable... Could just be the one i got.
