So, I have this idea in my head to take my 5 hp robin Subaru engine I have had laying around and to save money put it on a riding lawn mower frame then bolt a chair/recliner to it to drive around for fun, but I'm not sure how to go about putting the engine on the frame. I am quite new with go karts and small engines so I was hoping for some helpful advice and ideas. Thanks!

Post pictures of all your parts and I'm sure we can help

Welcome

The first problem u may have is a ride on mower gearbox requires a vertical shaft input and your engine is likely horizontal shaft out put

But we wil see when u post pics

Hi, im not too sure on the shape of your frame. is it going to be 1 wheel drive or is it a live axle? but he basics are a sprocket on the engine bolted directly inline with the sprocket on the live axle or the wheel thats driving. link a fuel tank throttle linkage and a brake and steering and your set to go. Have you got any pictures?

Somthing like a hydro drive would be best

I image this is going to be used to cruise around events or to take places as a joke

So slow and easy to drive may be what he/she wants

I will try and post pictures soon. The 5 HP engine I have is a horizontal shaft and the mower I'm probably going to use is an older John Deere one. Speed isn't really a concern for now.
