Here is my dilemma. I am building a CT200U with a Predator 420CC and a 40 series TC. The TC now has a 10T sprocket and the wheel has a 50T sprocket, which gives me a 5:1 ratio with 19" tires. With about 4000RPM to play with that is about 45MPH, or way faster that I will ever take this bike.
My question is with a 5:1 ratio am I going to be burning up belts left and right riding on street alone? I do not plan to off road it as it will get street tires only, or should I look for either a smaller jackshaft sprocket or a bigger wheel sprocket? I like the way the 50T sprocket looks and do not seem to be able to find a 9T 420 chain sprocket for the 3/4in shaft.
Thanks,
