4hp tecumseh having probs

So a few years back my dad brought home an airport cart from i dont know where. I looked at it and said "what can i make out of that?" and my dad said "a go kart, maybe?" And i started designing. so i cut off the handle part where it goes from horizontal to verticle and welded it on horizontal. i quickly made an engine plate for a briggs 2 hp and welded on some riding lawnmower axles, bought a clutch and went to start it. and the carb pickup was plugged. so i drilled it out and completely destroyed it. so i bought an old tecumseh lawnmower and stole the engine off that. and my problem with it is that the engine only runs with the mixture screw open so much that gas leaks out of the back of the carb and it will only run for 10 mins. any ideas?

Get a new carb or rebuild the original.

Thats what im thinking. I might put the spare carb from my caglarri pocket bike on it. lol

those bike engines are 47cc (really about 42cc) , i take it your messing

not really. i took off the manifold and checked and it will fit if i put it on a slight angle. after i fix the broken bolt im going to try it. though im thinking i will need to make some sort of spacer or manifold
