440 Twister project

I got a Hammerhead Twister with a dead 150cc for $250. And instead of a rebuild with stroker and big bore, I put another $250 into a 1997 Arctic cat jag snowmobile w a 440. This thing is gonna be sick. Itll have reverse off the original set-up, modified exhaust with crotch rocket muffler, 20inch tires in front and 25inch in back, and winch. Ill take some progress pics in the morning.

Ik, I cant wait either. Fabrication takes too much time, grrrr. I just wanna ride! My dad & brother have a Kinroad Terminator and it doesnt have enough power or speed for my liking. Had to big.

what was dead about the old motor?


edit, i just thought of something great, what if i took the motor outa my vw bug and droped in the twister and used the 150cc gy6 for a go kart?

The head was off and piston was missing when i got it, all kinds of garage debris got in . So I completly disassembled it, saw what upgrades I wanted like big bore, Stroker crank, variator & clutch upgrades, intake and exhaust upgrades (cuz thats the way i am) and realized thats alot of money and it still wouldnt perform the way I want it to. So instead of putting money into that motor, I bought an entire snowmobile, newish (1997) for $250. Im not sure how a vw engine would fit to be honest. I had to lengthen the rear to make room for the exhaust and carb. The carb was sticking past the rear and I didnt want it ripped off by a tree. I really had to modify & fabricate to mount this motor, and im still not done. A vw engine might fir better, idk.
