420 cc engine

Guys I have a question.i had the 346 cc predator engine I took it off and went and bought the 420 cc predator engine with electric start..do this engine charge the battery and will it run a light or is there something else I must buy for that

If it has electric start, it will charge the battery. You can run lights, but I would use LED's because their current draw is smaller and I wouldn't add a lot of them.

Your user manual will give you all the info you need

if anybody can be of help please chime in. i took the key starter part off my engine and i wired a momentary switch up front to start the engine and a latch switch to kill the engine,everything is wired up right even the low oil cut off. the only thing i need help with is where do i connect the 3 amp charge wire.can i hook it straight the possitive of the battery or do i need some kind of diode. how do i get this thing to charge....it looks as though i will need a rectifier or os that built into the charge wire please help

The wiring diagrams I've posted are for electric start Honda GX-series engines. Chances are your 420 Predator is very similar to one of these diagrams.There should be a rectifier in your engines switch panel that you've removed, you'll need to ground the rectifier and reconnect its wires. The charging output wire from the rectifier would then go through a fuse and connect to either end of the positive battery cable.
