I had to raise mine an inch. If your running the stock exhaust, your left leg will be much more warm. Lol

I cheaped out and used washers. I've been beating mine fairly hard and haven't had an issue as of yet. I used nylon lock nuts instead of lock washers to keep them from coming loose.

Thanks again bob58o. I'll get the carb when I do the exhaust.

Im about to make another post regarding belts. Mine is already fried.

People use washers or a couple pieces of steel square tubing. Not sure if I'd seen anybody use aluminum tubing, but can't say it wouldn't work. I used a solid aluminum block (then drill holes to reduce weight). Let me look for a post. Somebody shared where to get cheap spacers (tubes to replace washers).

Something like this? (these aren't the cheap ones) 3/4" OD, 5/16" ID, 1.56" Long.
If you only need an inch, then don't get the 1.5" ones.
Bolts are 5/16" right?
Not sure what the best material would be?? Aluminum? Stainless?

What is the stock mounting bolt size? Is it 3/8"? I've drilled the holes in the block bigger on some engines and used bolts smaller than the hole on others. I think I drilled the big block holes bigger and used 5/16" bolts to make it fit on the same plate as the small block. I guess it is 3/8" for the Predator.

Yes, you have to hack off one of the tabs that the chain guard mounts to. You also have to cut out that bar that wraps around the front of the back tire, behind the engine. At first, I was concerned about it losing structural rigidity. As I said before, Ive been beating the snot out of mine, without any issue. For reference, I'm 6ft tall, and weigh around 215-220lb.

There's kits ($$$) out there that either have the spacers with the kit, or an engine riser that moves the engine up and forward so you don't have to cut the chainguard support.

There's a guy on you tube who installed his TAV to the side cover with only 2 bolts. This raised the end up and he didn't have to raise the engine. He basically installed the TAV incorrectly. Pretty rigged if you ask me but it works well for him.

I purchased the Tav2 kit off eBay but it does not fit my CT200U. The drive shaft on the bike is smaller than the parts received. Anyone have this issue?
