Hey guys, I am looking to change my driving sprocket on my 40 series, thinking of bumping it up to a bigger sprocket either a 12t or 14t. Anyone try this yet? and if so what kind of gains have you had speed-wise? I ideally want more top end with medium torque on the bottom end. Thanks!

Doing so may compromise belt life because it ends up slipping too much. What is this setup on? Current gear ratio? Engine size? Tire diameter?

Since I'm unsure what the engine rpm will be at, starting with stock RPM, 3600, with the current 5:1 ratio you're at around 40mph. With a 12 tooth, 48mph. 14 tooth 57mph. All assuming stock RPM.

Now with say around a 5000rpm, in the same order (current 10 tooth) 56mph, (12 tooth) 67mph, and (14 tooth) 79mph.

itsid, created this http://app.kartcalc.net/#home works only on mobile devices and tablets. As far as I know, still does not work on PC. So if you know more information for the mini bike and engine specs, you can input everything and you can get more results.
