yeah I think your right lol, i was thinking about the motor turning backwards looking from the top and then didn’t worry about it because it shifts while it’s in the air but I guess while on the ground under load it might bind up like that?

Hadn't seen your post # 20. As pictured and assuming on a horizontal shaft engine turning counter clock wise ( pushing the kart forward ) that will not work, for the same reason that I explained it the previous post.

So I finally got the reverse wound spring installed and now I get full function from the Cvt so thank you. But now the belt gets stuck in the driven pulley when going from high too low rpms like the driven is opening too far
