I'm looking at one for my daughters Taco mini bike project. Would this be a good choice or should I be looking at somthing else? I've always liked the 2 strokes for their excellent power to weight ratio. Nothing like hitting that power band and feeling the pull!

This engine is supposed to put out 4.5 HP at around 4000 RPM governed. What would be the peak RPM with the governor removed and how much more HP? I would assume the port timing is pretty mild on this engine.

I'll be making an L shaped mount from 1/8" steel. I may be able to use some 4-6" flat bar. Cut 2 pieces. I'll use a holesaw to bore a hole for the crank snout, then need to drill (4) 5/16" holes for the engine bolts and (4) more where the second piece is attached to the frame. Then, these two pieces will be mig welded together. I'll be making cardboard templates before I cut my steel, just to make sure everything fits correctly.
