Never tried one but it looks like fun! I've often pondered about manual clutches on go karts, in terms of practicality. It might get real old moving that clutch though, and most karts pedal setups would make a clutch pedal difficult, but at the same time, you could probably smoke someone off the line.

I think it was determined that they arnt good for drag racing. A traditional racing clutch is more repeatable and gooder.

And not really suited for racing , its really only good for clutch dumps/ fun riding.

And for that the price is just too high. If it
were half the price and available in 1in bore id buy one just cause.

Whats the chance you could run it with a TC off the drive , and the clutch on a jack shaft ??? the things that keep me up at night.

Hardcorewill I say give it a try. It may take time to figure it out, but I believe anything is possible. I say give it a try......If it does or doesn't work, then you've learned something new anyhows.

The company is alive and well. I bought a clutch from them in 2021. They are well built and can take a beating. Disk clutches are more expensive than a shoe clutch just because they are more pieces and more precise. Like anything there is a special application for these clutches and racing mini-bikes is where I can see the largest market but I have seen them on go karts.
