You could use your jackshaft off of your TC to gear it down enough to take the stain off the TC and still get enough speed to clear the frame in a jump off a dock. Just get a little run at it.
This sounds like a one time thing so why do you care if the TC squawks a little.

The water is a 1 time stunt, but the kart will be played with after.

Did you read post #19, Alex?

Yes,
I am actually gonna take it back down to 24" wheels. With the 24s The TC still squeaked upon 1st hitting the gas , but not quite as bad. Gonna put a 72 sprocket on there, and access if anything else needs to be done.

ALSO, even with the factory wheels on there , the cart would roll without gas. So, I have to figure out if its an idle problem, or a TC problem as well. Maybe fixing that will help the squeaking a little.

When the 24s were on there, Once, it got rolling, It would go 5mph without giving anymore gas. It would also speed up going down a hill with no gas.

Just going back down to 24s takes 50+ lbs off of it. The weight is going to be VERY important for the stunt to be successful. BUT, if the stunt fails, the video will be funnier.

Did you say? , you were using bar stool swievels, for wheel bearings??

Yes, with a 5/8" coupler nut welded on the back that screws on the front

The back does not need bearings.

Not safe,,,at any speed!!!!!! They will pull apart"(nothing to stop them) when you try to turn the wheels l/r. I,assume, you bolt the swivels to the table tops"(wheels) and then welded the adaptor to the swivel and attatched that to(spindel/frame)? I'm affraid, the wheels will fall-apart at the swivel.......under stress!

The swivel has ball bearings inside and a very large steel rivet. These are the most heavy duty you can buy. For commercial grade barstools. They will NOT come apart. A crowbar in between the plates would not even break the rivet. With a lot of prying, it would bend the plate enough for some of the balls to come out, but it is 14G steel. That would take a lot of poundage.

I do see how you would think that though.
