Hi all,

I am currently running a gx35 Honda as one of the power sources on my 24hour racer trike. This engine seems to give the best comprimise between speed and economy as we only get 3 litres of fuel to use.

Next year (and this year if I choose to) I will be required to run on E85 fuel not normal unleaded. Now, I'd like to get a jump on the oppositio for next year and run E85 this year, but I have had trouble finding info on what exactly I need to do to the motor.

I realise that E85 is not as economical as normal unleaded and that it will "eat" some rubbers and gaskets, but what exactly needs to be changed? Is there a carby that can be modified to fit that is already suited to E85? I have access to a mill so I can skim the head to up the compression no problems and I am sure that I could up the timing to suit easy enough, but do you knowledgable guys and girls know how far I can go?

Hope you can be of asistance

Coln

My knowledge on this subject is very limited, so I will apologize now.
If you research alcohol racing setups, would that maybe point you the right way? I'm fairly sure special fuel line is used, and I think they drain the fuel system between uses. I believe there's a few guys around here that run alcohol, so be patient and somebody in the know should weigh in soon enough.
