Ok fellas I have a 346 cc predator that I am planning if doing a few simple mods to. But I have a few questions , my plan is to replace the exhaust and air filter ( because stock won't fit in my frame) with that being said with the increase in air flow do I need to do anything els?

If I get a new straight header can I run multiple engine without a mUffle on the header?

I'm also looking for a good quality clutch preferably a torque converter but a centrifugal clutch will work too if I can't find a hoot CVTfor cheap enough have seen a billet lines clutch for $175 that is rated for a 13 hp anyone know the quality of this clutch?
If anyone has a recomendation for a clutch in the $250 price range please let me know! Post a link maybe?

Any comments greatly appreciated

The basic mods for the engine are as follows.....
Free flow air filter (NOT a cheap foam PREfilter...)
Free flow exhaust... (straight pipe or candy cane header)
Open main jet a couple thousandths
Put in a new plug, run it for couple hours, then take a plug reading.....
As for the clutch.... You want a torque converter, not a cc..... Jmho
I had a link a while back to a cheap ($250) torque converter. I posted it in a thread.... I'll look for it tonight..
EDIT. Shoulda kept this question with the thread on your "ride" , so everyone knows what you are working on and why the stock components wouldn't fit.......

We have a member that uses a lot of those, IIRC..... Can't remember hearing any complaints.
I think that's the brand I had a link to.

The gtc converter is only $186 thru gokartsusa.

And I have knockoff through bmi karts that was only $130. Still no problems and it's working great. I had to space out the pulley with washers but other than that it's working great still. And I'm at the max hp and way over the max rpm on my engine.

...& that fits a 346cc Predator with a 1" shaft?

sorry my bad, i forgot you needed the 1" bore one. In your other thread about the same subject i got confused !

On a side note i do have the cheaper knock off one on my engine and im past the max power rating and its doing just fine at the moment. I have the 3/4 bore one but the 1" bore one through that site is only $159.95
