well a predator 212 is a gx200 clone, thus the predator 301 could be considered a gx270/ 290 clone..
BUT the difference in bore and stroke means it's never an exact clone.

Gonna dump some cash on a few things and verify.

Ive been talking to a cple different vendors and they'll take back what doesnt work.

It is honestly amazing the lack aftermarket data on the pred 301cc.. As far as now it has been a solid motor.

I guess, it's because of the odd size...

the 290 was dropped by honda (I only find very few references that it ever existed)
it was closer to the gx340 than the gx270 according to what spareparts match..

your predator 301 is a re-labelled Rato R300 just like the preadtor 212 is a re-labelled Rato R200..

but if that helps finding aftermarket parts *shrugs* IDK...

I contacted support at omb warehouse.. Just got an email back and anything that fits the GX 340/390 will bolt up.

There is so little performance parts for the 301cc pred it is insane. There is everything for the 212cc..

Well problem solved.

Ok.. filter adapter and filter fit. I modified a crankcase breather filter from O'Reily's to replace the old setup... Running great..

for anyone else's future ref for the 301cc predator motor who wants to get rid of the stock air box and foam filter.

They suggest to use the choke lever setup but it is not needed for this setup.
