Here's what problem I keep running into with a drifter kart:

I have a 224cc Predator engine, live axle, 30 series torque converter (1 new out of the box), 72T sprocket, 10T jackshaft sprocket and a #35 chain.

I can't keep the chain from coming off. I have tried running with it loose, snug tight and every position between both extremes

Gotta be a chain issue, sprocket issue or alignment issue ;)

What is the condition of the chain? (new, lightly used, heavily used etc.)
...& could it be bent...somewhere?

What is the condition of sprockets? (new, worn, has a little wobble, nice-n-straight etc.)
&
Are them sprockets lined up nice-n-straight (like Denny mentioned)

Tried the chain that was on it (decent condition) and one new.
All sprockets are in good condition. One jackshaft 10T is new.
The old TC I took apart and cleaned all parts thoroughly.
The sprockets are lined up good. No wobble that I can see.
This kart is just baffling me.

Ive seen TC backplates flex under load...

Actually, the 40 series on my kart will flex. I have to keep extra tension on my chain at the moment to keep it from jumping off.

Squeeze the top and bottom of your chain together and see if the backplate flexes.
