i've got a couple question so far for this 3.5hp b/s engine whitch im in the process of cleaning the carb; firstly, can and how do you tune it? it'd been running kind of off before i decided to clean it. Also, there is crud and stuff in the gass tank, how can should i get it out? where cani get a smaller sprocket(or any sprocket) for a mini bike. i've got more questions but i forget them.
thanks for any help/advice:cheers2:

Russ had mentioned something about cleaning a tank using some screws and kerosene, I think? That rubber thing looks like some sort of diaphragm and valves. Not too familiar with that particular engine/carb. I'm sure someone will chime in soon with more info.

Best way to clean tank (minus carb body) is to pour in acetone along with some small nuts, screws, scrap metal, small stones etc. and seal it up the best you can. Now, just shake the crap out of it. Let it sit over night. Shake it up again the next day and rinse clean with fresh acetone.
If done correctly will look like new inside. I've done it with Briggs tanks that were over 70 years old.
If tank leaks after doing this, then it wasn't worth salvaging to begin with.
