224cc predator engine shaft stripped

Hey guys, the crankshaft on my 224 cc predator engine is stripped out. Is there any that I could do about this? I've looked online and cannot find a direct replacement. Please help!

Is the key shift stripped out and bogured up? Or are the threads stripped out on the inside of the shaft? If the threads are stripped out on the inside of the shaft and you don't have a tap they sell them cheap at the home Depot or buy a hardened bolt like a number eight and sometimes that can help to rethread the stripped threads.

Or worst comes to worst you could go to NAPA and get a Heli-Coil kit that comes with a drill bit, tap, and inserts.

That's how that's supposed to work, and they're a real saving grace sometimes, but...............Since needing to work a tap into it for a helicoil installation anyway, I'd first try the simplicity of a tap matched correctly to the threads, chased by a grade 8 bolt, and then if that didn't work I'd progress to a helicoil.

You will also need a small tube of Red Loc-Tite for holding in the Heli-Coil permanently. And a tube of Blue Loc-Tite for holding in the bolt afterward.

Id just drill and tap to the next size bolt.
