Just my 2 cents.. I am running a 212 preditor with a stage one kit. (header, larger jet in carb, heavier springs, off-set keyway to advance timing) But even with out all that stuff, this engine stock was working really well with a 30 series torque convertor set-up, using a 7" driven, 10T jackshaft gear and 60T on final drive running 19" Spider Keated tires, pushing a yerfdog 30032. Set the driven spring to position '3', wind the hell out of teh driven spring, and just try to find a hill it won't climb!! Even with about 190 lbs(me, son and duaghter) it still is climbing canal banks! All this and it still has the govener hooked up! Also doesn't do bad for speed either. 35-40 mph.
So if your running 15'' tires you should doo quite well, but like it was stated before, for the best results use the torque convertor set-up. You can either by a complete kit, but I think they only come with 6" drivens, You can purchase the items seperately, including the jackshaft plate. The 6" will give you ALLOT of speed( 45-48MPH!!) with the rest of the before mentioned gearing. This speed was noted by driving next to the kart on wifes Sportster!! Blew my mind.
