Well this may be a discussion already but I will post it up.
I have a predator 212 on a Baja racer.
The motor has a stock carb re-jet, header, and 18lb valve springs and the clutch is a 10t.
The stock sprocket was a 71t, so the ratio was a 7.1, I recently put on a 53t sprocket which lowered the ratio significantly.
When decelerating my bike will cut out, do think this is why? or is my clutch slipping? I need some trouble shooting ideas as well. I am using regular pump gas, which of course has ethanol. Bike has plenty of oil and only has about 2-3 hours of ride time.
Tire size is a 145/70-6, which is the stock tire on a 6" wheel
I also have a 66 tooth laying around as well maybe i should try that??

If its #40 chain you installed a 54t, and actually raised the gear ratio quite a bit, if its #40 chain the extra sprocket should be a 68t and will lower your gear ratio giving you more torque and a little less top speed, the 71/72t that was original would drop it even further for a bit more torque and even less top speed, run the 67/68t for a happy medium, the 54 is likely causing clutch slip.

Did you remove the gov?
If so, Ditch the valve springs if you don't want throw the con rod...Keep with the stock.

I have the governor spring ziptied, if there is another way im all for it, but right now my idle is off on my carb and messing with it more i think will want to send the bike into orbit haha. But i put in the springs for less valve float at higher rpms.

Undo that ziptie. That is the worst way to disable the governor. The internals can explode and ruin your engine

Worst even, the stronger springs wont allow the valves to float because of the stock gov disabled( which will allow the retardation of the engine speed), and the con-rod will let go.

Leave the gov stock or remove it entirely.

Also, New springs new Rod, Old springs old Rod....
