Just wanna know what's the best way to build it up. Wanna do fly wheel, rod, cam and what not. Just wanna know what's the best stuff to get. Don't wanna spend an arm and let lol. Thanks in advance.

So what kart/ minibike are you going to put this engine in?

There's many ways to skin that cat. But you gotta share some more info with us first.

Welcome to the zoo and post pics! We like to see what your doing .

Bore it out to 500ci, convert to nitromethane. Done...

Seriously, this site is full of Predator builds.

Can you say: TMI? Check out Bob58o's thread on building a 212.

Use the search feature.

Hello and welcome....

Off hand...I see a potential problem with no cage and having seat belts...
Equally speaking with your upgrades... You removed the gov... Let me guess you installed heavier valve springs???
If you want to keep the con-rod intact... I'd get the billet con-rod absolutly first... Or put back the OEM... The stock help float the valves and allow the rpm's to stall just below the threshold of the con-rod letting go, and causing an extreme catostrofic failure...of which the aftermarket ones will not...

Couldn't find that bob58o's threads. Wanna spend probably 300 ish.

If you want to spend 300 bucks, and you're not bound by displacement limitations (like a race division that specifies engine size) you should have just gone with a 420. Bolt it up and be done.

Sense there are so many differ parts to get out there just wanted a little help as what to get. It's not for racing or anything. Just to play on ice in winter and fun in the summer. My daughter and I both enjoy driving it.

10 ish HP is pretty good out of a 212.... One thing you didn't mention was emulsion tube..... You need that from a gx160 ....
Basic rule of safety with karts....
No cage, no seat belts...
Cage, needs seatbelts. .... You don't want to be strapped in and flip with no cage. It WILL hurt your kid, and possibly worse. If you HAVE a cage , you NEED seatbelts to keep you in, and not get hit or crushed by cage.... Again, serious injuries or worse, CAN and DO happen....
With the kart you have, you should have just got the 13hp ..... You could of bought one easily for what you spent doing upgrades on the 212, unless you're like me and make all my own parts. (It costs me less than $20 to do the mods you did )
Even putting a 13 on it now, you would see and feel a big difference..... Pulling just the governor would put you close to 14-15 HP with only a better breather and exhaust....

212 predator problems

What's up guys I'm new to this form I have some problems with my 212 Predator wondering if anybody has any good advice I attempted to do a port and polish on my head I've never done it before I put it all back together it was running fine before and when I went to start it for the first time it's giving me no signs of starting so I took off the valve cover and notice the valve springs I don't know what the name of the part is but it sits on top of the valve springs and it's supposed to be gapped I guess I didn't Gap it good enough because it was loose but when I open the valve cover they were both super tight I loosen both sides and then it fired right up but now it's hard for me to pull the pull start and I think I lost about 10 miles an hour

Hello mark... A few things to start off with...
Your going to need to start your own thread... That way we can deal with your issues seperatly...

Secondly... I'm going to suggest you use some punctuation in your descriptions... Reading that is difficult and people won't give you much thought if you don't put much into your post(s)...

By all means don't take that wrong.... We would like to help you... Just don't type like your txting and it's not going to matter...
