So I don't know if you guys have noticed the back of the seat angle or not but.............

I got some fixing cause it snapped clean off ! Luckily my dad didn't fall off when it happened. So I guess barstool frames are pop metal. So I'm going to tractor supply or the steel yard for the same diameter tubing but real steel this time and my friend has a bender I can borrow. So hopefully with weather permitting we make the next cars and coffee in 2 weeks.

We took the broken barstool seat off. And I got a Kubata tractor seat from Atwoods that is made from solid plate steel and put it on. I bet it's not gonna bend or break anymore now !

How well does that thing turn? Watched the vid and noticed the turns were sketchy at best.

It's funny you should ask, in these videos you had to lean forward to turn. But we have recently done a old drag car trick and moved the rear tires as far in as we could. And now it turns really well and is also a lot more stable.

When this weather gets warmer I'm gonna go for a high speed run at the local drag strip. Well at least I'm planning in it anyways ! I've been to gps 50mph and had to let off. I was at 3/4 throttle when I ran out of real estate

Found a gps speedo that is self powered today ! And it's $125. It's actually for r/c cars but it seems like it's gonna work perfectly.

And thanks for the votes. I don't like the seat. But it's the only one that doesn't break or snap off and try and kill me everytime I take off. This thing hikes the front tires up very quickly and just flat takes flight now that the engine is broken in and I fine tuned the carb settings.

The speedometer is a giant success. Only downfall is no backlight on it. And it has tracking also via computer with USB port.

A small update. Barstool has absolutely no issues whatsoever. The local cars and coffee people love seeing it every month.

Well maybe 1 Lil issue, had a brake failure due to the plastic line rubbing on the column bearing block but other than that its running and riding great.

Thought the clone tav2 was gonna give a issue but its working flawlessly with more HP than recommended. If I was to honestly guess I would say 13 to 15hp is what the engine is producing for reference.

Its really cool to do wheelies on command and I mean as soon as you turn the throttle or go 50+mph when you want. The rear sprocket could be smaller actually but I really don't want more mph yet ! As soon as you touch the throttle it WILL hit the rear wheelie bars quickly.

That thing is way cool nice job. So Joe you are there in the 405, you need to find Azn and Farm truck and check out their 72mph Power chair, the "power Scare"

I am actually one of the "original" people in that group. I know all of them. I was street racing with guys way before the show started. I started in the mid 90's. I talk to some of them still. But I haven't had a car lately since my cancer so I been sticking to the go kart related stuff for the last few years. If I wanna race I just help somebody I know at the track and it does it for me. I save a lot of money that way.

And thanks. Its a blast. I just need something to go beside it at shows now. I can't pry my dads fingers away from it now ! Lol

That is way cool Joe. I love that show. Sorry to hijack your thread but....
I always wonder about these Reality shows. Is that one pretty realistic? and
How do they get away with filming the show and all the huge lights, at an "illegal" street race. The cops, new laws and dangerous idiots crashing and killing innocent drivers has pretty much wiped out "street" racing here in SoCal. You can go to jail and lose your license just for watching!

You sign a waiver for beginners. And you will never get rich from tv money either. It's handed around but goes right back to the original person. The racing part is real. The illegal thing is far from it. There is cops, ambulances, fire trucks blocking the roads during the show. Hence the really big lights there all the time. So they can't get arrested while "taping". But you can get arrested any other time they are out and doing it without the tv crews. But it's getting hard to hide anything these days as there is always a ton of spectators which is another reason I don't really go out anymore. Too many people out there that has never even attempted racing much less actually have a car. It's 95% hide behind a keyboard and have anything and 5% actual racers that have done it at least once before to contribute to the sport.

Aw thanks sir. Your the best mod we got. Lol

So big update on the barstool.

I took out the original plug from the build and put the autolite 3910x and it made a huge difference. Major throttle response off idle now. Everybody has its a 2-4 HP increase with just the plug. I'm a believer now needless to say.

And I took the original tav2 springs in the driver and added the white springs to bring the launch rpm from 1900 to 2900. And you can stall it to about 32_3500 if you hold the brake. If you guys run anything light with a tav2 you need to go the rpm range.

It 60's a whole lot better now. Seat of your pants is now out on fire cause of the difference of the 2 things I have done last weekend.

Also still after 2 years I'm still using the ORIGINAL belt that came with the knockoff kit from BMI karts ! Not a single burn mark anywhere. So guess you can run more HP if your weight overall is low.
