I apologize to those I have offended just don't know another term to use. Lets just say I'll have to do it Canadian style with plenty of duct tape and super glue. That is if the Texans haven't used it all on their table saws :p

Don't forget there is no book on building tracked vehicles, wish there was I'd buy 2 copies. Everything has to be figured out while you build it hence the slap it together and hope it works attitude.

Nice find Diasan. I took a quick skim over it and there appears to be lots of very good usable information in there.

WOW very nice find, I'm gonna read this about 20 times over. Mind you I'm using car engine and restricted to whatever I can find for free or cheap. YET I want speed control and power, on the cheap isn't easy. Also I have never tried anything like this before and am relying on my automotive experience only. Didn't get anything done today got rained out hopefully tomorrow I can get engine off K frame and mock it up.

Did some basic frame work today trying to figure out how to mount the engine in the frame and still be able to remove it if I need too.

Didn't do much the last week been down with a case of Tonsillitis at 42, I know but I'm the rare one that never had them out as a kid. So today I went back to work and basically cut it in half length wise and widened it 5 inches. Engine fits much better and gives me some much needed shoulder room. Will post pics as soon as I remember to bring the camera with me next time.

New toy and some work done on attaching K frame to rest of frame, still working thru the pain of having tonsils out.

Sorry for the lateness of my reply's but I've been dealing with a septic infection in my throat which has kept me from doing anything to this build BUT I'm back in action and should have some AMAZING progress happening in the next week. Engine is mounted and I'm working on the suspension and skid steer. Just got my bearing blocks and just need to get 2 more lengths of track and a couple more boogies.

Was a little more then puss, there was talk about removing a section of my throat and the possibility of losing my vocal cords. No cancer but the infection was so bad that I had to be put on IV antibiotics for 2 months. And I've lost over 40 lbs from not being able to eat solid food. I'm dying for a dang hamburger like you wouldn't know.
