HA! Not really, but made you look! :lolgoku:

Here's my humble submission.

But if anyone DOES have a small turbine for sale...

Ok, here's the ordered parts:
Northern Tool: #13828 Front wheel hubs

BMI Karts: #400281 Brake caliper
#AZ1828 Brake rotor

CAD pictures

I guess one of my goals with this project is to have it all drawn up beforehand to try to minimize screw-ups. Plus, it's the challenge of having an accurate computer model itself that intrigues me also.

SO, below is the current state of affairs.
I need to still:
-decide on an engine (looking at Honda GX200)
-make front wheel adapters
-figure out front spindle design
-test Deere hydrostat on its side

Hub adapters

Ok, so I drew up some wheel hub adapter plates and took them to a local machine shop. They used a laser cutter to cut them out, PRETTY COOL! They turned out better than I expected.

Engine found

Moving ever so slowly along...

I picked up a slightly used snowblower at a school garage sale. It hasn't been used much but hadn't ran for a while. When I got it home, I sprayed some ether in the carb and pulled the rope. It fired right up and ran for a second or two, so that's all I wanted to check. I took it off the blower and took the heat housing off and noticed something I didn't realize before. Snowblowers don't have air cleaners. Apparently there isn't any dust in the air in the winter. Go figure.

So now I'm looking for an air cleaner. Unfortunately the Deere mower I had didn't have one either. Any ideas?

WOW! That intake system looks overly complicated... Am I correct in thinking that the throttle adjustment (the red knob) is covering the carb inlet? If so, that would, obviously, need to be removed to fit an air filter...

The red knob just turns the choke plate. Good engine- that's an L-head Tecumseh. Look for numbers on the shrouding.

Once you have determined the exact engine (maybe H40,or H60, hard to tell from pics) you should be able to cross-reference similar engines that used an OEM filter.

It's kind of hard to tell about all the numbers, but this is what I THINK it says:
HM80 15514CF SER 9186C

I'm assuming the model is HM80. Horizontal shaft, 8.0 hp?? (Not sure what the M means)
