In the words of the great Bill Engvall, Here's yer sign.

My plan is a 36 inch wide, 60 inch long buggy with a swingarm rear and independent front suspension. Power will be 6.5HP predator, and I will be gearing it for about 20mph.

I'm just surprised that no one has twigged to the Bill Engvall reference. I'm hoping to get started on this next week during spring break, but I keep finding things I need to do on the karts I already have before I fill my shop space. So in lieu of an update I'll post a picture of my midterm test. Which I got a 98/100 on.

Lets see if anyone can pick out which two corners were done Vertical down.

I changed my mind on the direction of this build. It is now a mini-quad, I just couldn't get motivated to do the buggy. It uses most of the same parts, so I thought it might work out. If not, a mod can delete this, and I will start a new thread.

Step one, cut off all the stuff I didn't want from the frame.

Step two, build a little frame to weld the bearing hangers to.

Step three, weld the frame to the frame and cut out the middle part so I have a place for my sprocket and brakes.

Step four, add braces.

Step five, mock up steering.

Cut off the junk on the bottom that was all crooked, and added a nice square place for me to mount my footrests.

Built the front end, and mounted it to the main frame.

Stuck the wheels on to see how everything is looking.

I think it looks pretty neat. My nicest looking build so far.

Edit: Yes, that rear tire is crooked. I didn't put the lugnuts on.
