it going to look some what like a 1979ish Malibu with front engine 1 speed 2seats going to be like a drag car with something like a 4 link in the rear

I will continue looking at this project. I get the impression that there will be a chassis and a sheet metal body fabrication. If so, it is not a common project here. Good luck.

i have a montecarlo SS now but miss my wrecked 81 malibu so much(**** crackheads). it was pretty boxy so the sheet metal work won't be as bad as a monte carlo! if you can find another long side axle to replace the short one you can make it much wider, it will need to be supported though. good luck
