2007 shanghai 150 scooter no key !!

Just picked up at auction for $350 ... Little more than I wanted . No key !! So I bought a 6 pin ( 6 wires ) plug off eBay ... Only problem is scooter has 5 wires !! Any body ? I m tring to sell it but can't get it running ... Thanks

If I was selling something I would suggest you buy the correct key and ignition for it so it don't come back and haunt you.

Unfortunately, from the very little bit I've dealt with them, (actually once....and I very nearly made the same mistake....although with different pin counts).... there doesn't seem to be a lot of continuity on color codes on these things....

Also....not even sure if you can adapt the 6 pole to work...(It's possible....like maybe one wire runs lights or something and you can either eliminate or fuse it to another wire....) but unfortunately, beyond my knowledge....

Posting up pics is always a good idea..someone may recognise something in the pics they may not relate to just reading...

The more information we have, the better the chance someone might be able to help....(For instance, what colors are the new and old wires?)

One thing I can tell you is ....if you're going to cut any wires....wait until the last 3 seconds and cut a different one than your back-up team told you to...(I learned that watching TV!)
