2000 Crown Victoria

Over the past two days, i have managed to junk my work car (2003 mercury sable, cracked block ) and got a 2000 Crown Victoria with only 84K on the odometer. the price being whatever i got for scrapping my work car. So now after cleaning it out and such, i have started to make plans for audio. The problem i'm having is that even though the dash is a double din, I can not put a full double din radio in without butchering some of the AC/Heat duct work to the windshield. This is no big deal because i dont mind a single din radio, but I don't know and cant find any dash kits that will work, does anyone know of any kit that i could use?

Is there a reason you didn't include any pics of the area in question?

Probably the simplest way to solve the problem is with an aftermarket pocket (or even a standard one)

Id say the crown vic u guys have is the same as what we call the ford falcon

If so then u require a 1 1/2 din radio

The falcons are one of the most common cars over here so the radios ain't hard to find

The crown Vic seems to be different from the ford falcon. the Vic has a double din radio, the same as the one in the ford ranger. Pics attached. i finally found A dash kit for my car thats pretty cheap on amazon, so i may just go with that.

Yesterday i decided to black out my lights, hub caps, and darken my ford symbols, so heres some pictures of that. This was done with plasti-dip, which is easily removable.

U have to be soft in the head to black out the lights

They are there for a reason
And they're desgined to meet a minimum level set my the gov

Never screw with a saftey device apart from the legal repercussions
(In a crash u are 100% liable )
But the chance of someone failing to see you slam the brakes on has just tripled

The hub caps look good though

I agree. How are people supposed to see the lights shining through the plastidip? That stuff is not exactly transparant

No.. he could get a ticket for it actually, last time I checked here in the US, you can get a ticket for your kid using sidewalk chalk.. on the sidewalk.. ya know, cause damages and stuff....



as for the OP.

dude take the plasti dip off your freakin headlights and taillights, that's a very rice thing to do of you... also no one can see your darn brake lights.. if you wanted a civic, you should of just bought one...

I'm with everyone else here. Grown up in a car family my whole life. Literally my family is based around cars. My dad buys/sells every 6-8 months on average (Hopefully for a profit), and has 2 cars. So I've been around my fair share of cars, of all different shapes and sizes. Now, I can't agree with everyone else more!!!!! Take that dang plastidip off!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the blacked out tail lights, but with all due respect that is TO dark, and with the wrong stuff. Buy the VHT stuff, and do some lighter coats. You WILL get a ticket with tail lights that smoked in most of this country.
