20+hp foward reverse gearbox

so i acquired an old kandi buggy (recently posted about trying to figure out what it was but got it now) and the motor is no good, but i have a 250cc honda rebel engine with 5 speed i was going to put on it but i am having trouble figuring out a foward reverse setup. i can't find many reverse gearboxes and the ones i do are only rated to like 13hp. i'm an overkiller sometimes and would rather have something that can handle 20+ incase of future upgrades. the current gearbox on it is toast which seemed to be a common problem on these 07s. wondering if anyone has an idea or option on a reverse box that can handle the powerrr

That’s why we’re here, to point out the obvious. The fact of the matter is other than jeffco (if they’re still in business anymore) there is no one making any kind of box like that. Expect to pay $3,500-$6,500 or there abouts for one.

yeah that's what i was affraid of. sounds like my best bet is buy a cheap chainsaw and put it on backwards with an extra axle sprocket lol
