2 stroke oil in 4 strokes

Hello everyone so i have been searching around and found a few pieces of information that i thought where cool i thought i would get some opinions .I know mostly all of us have had some 2 stroke lying around in a gas can and end up putting it in the tank of our go kart.How many of use have put it in our car ? i drive a 2010 ford focus and i came across a website with a few people talking about mixing 1OZ of high grade 2 stroke (Yama lube,castor 927 ....etc ) to 5 gallons of gas .They are saying it improves gas mileage and less wear on the car .We all know that 2 stroke is meant to mix completely with gas .It is also meant to burn very well these taken into consideration.We all know how many internet hoax's and people making things seem real on the internet .Has anyone had any luck with it or ever thought about it ?

I'd say no to putting oil in your newer car. Doesn't Cali have some strict air quality laws, and I reckon it'll mess with your cat for sure...

Yeah....I'd have to say that's a boneheaded idea at best.....You're missing one little piece of the puzzle....newer cars are full of sensors and computer controlled......jack with that .....and you risk fouling out a sensor....causing a nightmare to track down and hundreds of $$$$$ to fix.....

Have you ever had to buy a catalytic converter? Run some two stroke oil in a vehicle with one long enough and then see what a converter cost,stupid idea to say the least.

my grandmother once put mixed gas into a el'cheapo walmart push mower...that was 2 weeks old. It never ran right again.

I burn 2 stroke oil all the time in my 1971 AM General M35a2 6x6 Army truck. And it works good! I also burn used motor oil, kerosene, old gasoline, transmission fluid, old hydraulic fluid, paint thinner and last but not least mostly diesel fuel. With that being said it has a Multi-Fuel engine in it, meaning it will run on any flammable liquid except alcohol as it is supposed to. You're car engine is not a 2 stroke nor is it a Multi-Fuel engine. If you insist on using 2 stroke oil in it you will first ruin the oxygen sensor then the catalytic converter.

1 OZ to 5 gallons... that doesnt seem like enough to cause much of any issue??
I dontreally know anything about that, but Id much rather drive a 1971 AM General M35a2 6x6 Army truck!
