2 Speed Setup

Hello all i have an old go kart that i want to try and rig to make it a 2 speed, the go kart is chain driven.
Hope i have provided enough info, any help is appreciated.

.what motor?

I dont have any pics of the cart riht now but its a Kango Yard Star pretty much the same as the day i bought it, but im going to make it safer for faster speed runs

Manual

Not that high but i could make most if not all of it if its not Very Very complex.

Thats with the old clutch on it lol its been cleaned up a bit since that pic lol

where both wheels are connected to the same sprocket and move together the same. twice the traction and stability.

Well i thought about it for a while but just cant come up with anything any other ideas?

i dont think it is a live axle, then your sprocket hub would be on the axle not wheel hub.

just saying, it would give you better traction, trying to get performance and torque from a 1 wheel kart and it will spin out or not control well.

It isnt connected directly to the wheel it connects to the axel when i spin one wheel the other spins as well
