1st Go Kart Help

Hi,
I am in the proccess of gathering go kart parts and I am having trouble with the gear ratios. I have a Honda GX340 11hp engine. I plan on buying Comet 40 series torque converter(low 2.43:1 and high 1:1). This is an on road kart with 11 inch wheels and a solid rear axle. What final drive ratio from the jack shaft should I use? 3:1? 2.5:1?

Since you are using 11 inch wheels I believe you should stick to the 2:5:1 ratio. By the way what do you mean with solid rear axle, do you mean live axle (traction on both wheels) cause you will need it with the GX340.
