I just recently acquired 3 similar trikes all in rough shape. I kept the two with the fiberglass seat buckets and gave the third to my brother for doing the swap and transport for me. They all have the differentials intact, one had a factory spring front end like yours, and one has a hinge thing, I think homemade, to fold it in half somehow. Ever seen one that folds? I really dont like the idea and I'll probably cut it out so I can make it rigid because I dont trust it.
Start a new thread with pics and I’ll have a looksy. Off the top of my head I have not seen a folding one tho.

Well ever since the correct spring was installed. We have no issues whatsoever still. And the disc brake conversion still works great also. It actually locks the big ole tires up on pavement if you pull the levers hard enough !

only issue is the 3/4 jackshaft bearings are making a little noise again. So I will be changing over to the 5/8 shaft and bearings for the driven eventually.

haven’t got around to painting or finishing the chassis powder coat yet either. And we are gonna add a rear bumper / wheelie bar so we don’t flip it over. Cause it definitely stands straight up and it would be easy for someone to flip it over in a matter of seconds.

Well I havent posted here for awhile due to someone destroying the body and bending the chassis from not knowing how to ride it.

but the frame is straight now I think. And I already got a replacement body remounted to my chassis. This one is thicker and has fender flares cause it was a Shriners body.

I also bought a complete one for my buddy also while we were there.

Gotta take it easier on your junk Joe.
Wasn’t me. It was the girlfriends sons other half. She told us she knew how to ride it. After we explained it stands straight up in the air. She did not know how. She plowed it right in the side of my truck within a second or 2 of getting on it.

I got the frame straight and found a replacement body a few hours away. This body is actually nicer it also covers the tires all the way as it was a Shriner design body.

we been doing wheelies again !

So now that the strike is fixed, hows the damage on the truck?
The plastic corner on the bumper is messed up a little bit. And the front tire rubber marks on TOP of the bed are already removed. So my truck was ok.

Well I been getting it ready for final powdercoat and bodywork finally.

converted it to a single brake system and also converted it to a thumb throttle. I’ll get pics later. I haven’t rode it yet. So hopefully simpler and cleaner still stops good.

Well it stops……….locks up ONE tire due to the peerless differential. But it stops ok. Pulls a tad to the side it’s located on but it is just barely noticeable so I’m happy with it. And the thumb throttle helped out a lot also.

gonna go cruise it around for a few more times then hopefully tear it all down to powdercoat the whole chassis white. And do my old school purple over silver base with some 70’s show car themed stripping and flake paint.
