Awesome, apart from the digital speedometer

I think an old triangular VDO would match best..

Anyways, it looks just like the kind of motorized bicycle
I would love to call my own :D

That would be cool to have an old triangular VDO speedometer indeed.
This thing is a work in progress and I do have the original VDO speedometer and cable drive that drives the speedometer but it is calibrated for the Rex motorcycle smaller wheels and If I installed it the speedometer reading would be incorrect.
I have a vintage headlight on its way to me via mail that I believe will look cool on the bike. This thing runs excellent and the little Rex engine is in perfect condition and runs like a top!

I think I have a VDO pickup somewhere for a 26" bicycle wheel (28"? will need to take a look)
but I doubt the cable is identical between the bike parts and the motorcycle parts
(I'd assume the latter to be a tad beefier ;))

this one's nice, new and complete for a 26" wheel

a bit cheaper a set of two:

(one to pry open, clean and convert to miles perhaps ;))

If you want me to keep my eyes open for one
(or you found one and the seller isn't willing to ship overseas)
just drop me a note, I'll take care of that.

cool...
that's indeed very nice and it would've been terribly hard to beat that price;
so that could be considered the ideal deal :D

I'm sure there's no need to tell you that the roadmaster bike shown in that auction
kinda dictates how the tank will have to be now ;)

In fact I made the mistake and googled vintage roadmasters just to get a better view..
this '41 roadmaster is a drool generator

Anyways.. can't wait to see the tank :D

That Roadmaster is awesome! Like I said my bicycle is a work in progress. Wait until you see the headlight that I have coming for it Sid.

I little added bling. Exhaust shield and chrome exhaust tip. Aluminum air filter cover which deadens some intake noise. More things to be added.
