This is my first go kart build. I gave in to going yardsaleing with my wife and the first house we went to had this shell in the far back. The guy had it for over 20 yrs and I persuaded him to sell it for 50 bucks. What an awesome find so I immediately started fabbing up stuff and my kids can't wait. so here's what I got so far.....
..Will be making the grill from same stock as the windshield brackets (1/4" alum a/c grade)
..engine 125lt 4 spd w/ rev was jus finished w/ beadblasting and now polishing..uuggghh
..put my list of parts and build sketches together
Will keep you'all updated as much as possible and hopefully sooner than this.

The stacks were made from a CB500T carb (slides) and used 1/16" alum sheet for the backs. This build will have a wrap around interior as well. Don't have a color scheme yet but working on it.

That is an awesome find! Long arm shifter?? You mean Ratfink style?

looks like the body you can get at ebay (for a 'bit' more than 50 bucks of course #120552590539)
If there wasn't shipping that's what I'd have done too.

Too bad those things cannot be found in any yardsale around here.
