16hp Opposable head Briggs horizontal kart build/Info/Using two carbs

I was going to put a two barrel carb on it from a vanguard. But if I can get it to work without to much hassle two carbs with some nice air breathers would look sweet. And I was thinking with the right ones and jets. And some different plugs and fuel pump some RPM'S.

Well it looks as if the engine could be mounted on its side in photo #1. That's ideal for adapting it to the kart.

What kind of lubrication does it have? If it's splash, mounting it on its side will be problematic for reasons that will reveal themselves.

It's horizontal. No need to lay it on its side.
