An auto trans is an arrangement of clutches and plantary gear sets

I was referring to auto as in automotive, not automatic; post edited

And a synco is two or 3 intermeshing cones that act to bring both shafts to the same speed
So u can slip in the collar

And if y'all wanna get dead technical, a transmission doesn't necessarily have to boast more than one gearset, or even gears at all. In fact, it doesn't have to be contained in a box, or even contained at all.

look for a suzuki samuri/sidekick rear. any thing else you mentioned will be tough to find(at least around here). i think they are high pinion too. you'll get better drivline angle/ground clearance and they are offset a bit.
