so I'm doing metal work, making a seat and welding up a few spots on the kart and the guy I'm doing it for plans on fixing it up and then selling it and i think i want to buy it from him before he starts putting new stuff on and cranking the price up and i can fix it all up on my own but i don't know what to offer of it in its current state. i was thinking 150$ would be enough but what do you guys think its worth?

Son, I've bought cars worth 15-20k for a few thousand just by having cash in hand and starting low. The house I now own was on the market for 160k (up here thats a big nice house) and I got it for 80k just because I had a good bit of cash down to wave in the sellers face... I could sit here and give you examples all day, but the bottom line is that cash talks, and you can always offer more money if they decline your first offer. However you can't just offer less after you've offered more, and you never know how low someone will go until you try.

You're right I don't know how much those karts may be going for, but I do know how to bargin. (Something I'm sure Poboy could appreciate lmao)

IDK.....Guess I'm not the great haggler....paying full asking price for a Maytag dishwasher pulled from a remodel.....$20....I won't sleep nights wondering if they would have taken $10.....":lolgoku:
