Recently detached the "steering knuckle" linkage / universal joint connector to steering shaft - to install 2-replacement rubber "dust covers". After reassembly, noticed the "Tilt Steering" bracket was only allowing a 1/3 to 1/2 adjustment of the full tilt arc bracket.
Have checked & rechecked steering shaft is inserted correctly into the steering knuckle, and no other linkage connections were changed - simple stupid - we cannot figure out why the steering tilt adjustment is now reduced to only a small portion of the adjustment arc ?? The tilt steering housing "collar" is the restriction point - it only allows the shaft to be adjusted a limited distance - but when new - we thought we had full adjustability of the collar / and arc bracket ? Any advice much appreciated ! Thanks !
