I personally think you should have a rollcage.
and a cup holder.
you guys basically described a t-rex or miniture version
So do I.
Good luck with the build, by the way! Something to notice (if you didn't already) is the inherent issues with the configuration by design alone. Watch the guy make his corners. Limited distance, limited speed. And he dips the frame into 2 wheels in multiple instances. Secondly, due to what I'd assume is all the functional weight being in the rear of the kart, the rear drifts from the drive tire breaking loose from the centrifugal force applied from a turn.
Not to blow turds on your idea, as it looks like it can be a regular hoot to drive. But be aware, this thing is going to be squirrelly as hell in the corners, both from torsional and centrifugal forces. Great on the straights, though. And given your powertrain set-up, what you have available as far as parts, and the similarities between the builds, I think you'll find a 4 wheel cart with a balanced weight profile will give you the best of both worlds. Power and speed, but with the stability you'd want with a road cart.
stop tryna shot down his ideas for a road cart it should be extremely fun to drive. besides he's basically building on the same principles as a t-rex from what i saw in his design he should be fine. But i do agree with the roll cage comment
