i had the 3/4" bullet lines converter on a predator 212 for 3 hours ride time and i weigh 200lbs and not one regret to it, no slipping, smoke, or excess heat. absolutely loved it. then again thats not quite long enough for a durability report

No, it isn't. Why only 3 hours?

Don't get me wrong- they might not be all bad, but so far we know nothing about them. Ergo, I'm not going to advise anyone to purchase one, nor will I.

It really didn't help that I saw all that serious mis-information in that EvilBay ad. I have no idea if the seller is affiliated or not. Stuff like that drives me nuts. There IS something to be said for Caveat Emptor, but as far as I am concerned the line gets drawn at blatant misrepresentation.

Okay guys i had this kart SITTING for over a month now, I promise my daughters i will get it done before Christmas. It has a 10t clutch, 54t axle on 14" tires. From what i have read i will burn the clutch if i don't install a 40 converter or a jack shaft. I was aiming on a jack shaft but all I find on a kit is 10-14 tooth. And on a 40 converter its a $$$ issue. If i do get this one from ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/230710593998?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1426.l2649 do they sell shaft adapters like the attached picture billow? Cause if it does give me problems i can use it for another kart project a 5hp Briggs and Stratton.

Your math is out. You want your adapter to have a wall thickness of 1/8", not 1/4". Hint- Look at your own diagram. Measure ALL THE WAY across your tube. Add up both walls. Do you see it?

The keyway and key will take some work. Standard key size for 3/4" is 3/16". Standard key for 1" is 1/4".

Yup thanks. So your saying they dont sell this? I'm ganna have to fab one. I think I'm just ganna order the jackshaft. Its hard back here we dont have Kart stores No tractor supplies thats why we learn to fabricate our own parts or just order and let me add sometimes shipping cost more then the item it self crazy right. Thanks guys.

One more thing what you guys think with a 10clutch-14in, 10out-54axle jackshaft ?

COMET is best but...

I have been running a bullet line on my original (no gov) gx390 for about 2 months now.
I abuse it on a regular basis no issues except i had to cut one of the oil fill tubes down 1/4 inch to get the jack shaft plate to fit the engine. other than that happy. Comet is MUCH better.
