Yeah arn't they ATV tires because my Dingo has 22s but they are made by Carlisle, I guess sometimes different manufacturers make nearly the same tire. Loving the rim colour by the way! Yes there's one thing they defiantly do! Dig into mud and dirt and flick it everywhere!

Got the frame stripped down to bare metal, primed, and painted.
Polished the bolts up a little. Also read on a little sticker by the ball that the kart (original had a 9 hp briggs vanguard) can handle up to 500 lbs of weight. It came with a 1 7/8" ball.

Next will be just waiting for the paint to cure, then readjusting/cutting some spacers for the axle.

I also ordered some orange zip ties and will get some orange wire for the kill switch. I thought black would look a little tacky.

Got new bearings on the axle, front rims, putting red or blue locktite on the necessary bolts/nuts.

Also busted out the plasma cutter and cut out some bling for the kart:

headrest support
foot rest
front of kart,
torque converter guard (the "manco" part)

The hitch/weight capacity of the kart is 500 lbs, so basically a 200 lb guy can haul around 300 lbs of whatever he wants to.

Very nicely done! I'd love to find a Dingo locally, but it seems those that have them are reluctant to sell.

Go Kart Seat, Diamond Plate, Floor Pan

Added vinyl floor runner for the floor pan, orange piping and marine vinyl seats with 2" high density foam. Heavy duty outdoor/upholstery thread and used T-nuts to secure the headrest, backrest, and seat. Also attached all the polished aluminum diamond plate.

In two more Saturdays (the ones that I have time to work on) I will be finished. All i have left to do is:

Fabricate heavy duty motor mount/jack-shaft for the 40 series torque converter, paint the engine, clean the 40 series torque converter, attach brake/gas pedals/rods/throttle cable/kill switch.

And I just picked this from our garden. One of the last 'big' ones this year.

Wow! That looks awesome! What colour will the engine be? Red, black or orange?

Tank and shroud will be black, recoil will be orange or some combination of that. Ill probably just have to put some engine paint on it just in case.

Also, Tank will have two 8"x1" orange "HONDA" decals on it, and the recoil will have a new "GX 390" emblem on it.

Nice looking kart. I love watermelon too. Especially on hot days
Watermelon keeps me regular :). We have had a consistent little crop of them in the back yard this year!

a little bling never hurts, it's when there's more bling than the actual object that it gets ridiculous...

Yeah I have seen a few karts that have way too much diamond plate on them. (e.g. the entire floor pan, fenders out of nothing but diamond plate, or the entire back end of a kart) Its just excessively boring and shiny unless its broken up. I was considering doing something to the front outside plate as its not broken up, but decided to leave it as is. The headrest/torque converter cover had to be broken up with the holes/manco brand on it or it would just look silly I think.

More to come next Saturday!
