12hp vintage racing cart?

I got a idea today. I have a lot of lawnmower engines 8-12hp. I could do a horizontal conversion to one. I like the old vintage racing go karts. You probably get where im going with this. :Angel_anim: . I am debating if this should be my next project. My stepdad has access to a tig welder. Aluminum frame . I would put a solid axle on it tho. For the engine remove governor, high flow air cleaner, some porting, rejet, high flow exhaust(No straight pipe,If I drive down the road I dont want to get the cops called on me.) Think I should make it?

Sounds like a cool project Karl, I wouldnt have the balls to even attempt a horizontal conversion, but I'd certainly like to see you succeed

Well when I finish my fat tire minibike (check out the update) I will start it. Well If I can get the motor running horizontally, then ill make the frame. Hoping to get 15hp from the motor.
