I have a 10hp Tecumseh engine on my go-kart(Manco dingo). I want to put a 40 series torque converter on it. The only problem is that the crankshaft is a bit different and I'm not sure if the torque converter would fit. Does anyone know if it would fit?
Model: 10HP Tecumseh HMSK100 159295w
Engine family: VTP358U1G2RC
Here's a picture of it.

The snowblower engine you have has a 7/8 step down, that is why a sprocket is mounted directly. Even if you had the shaft machined 7/8 all the way down, and used a sleeve , the 40 series has an integrated 1/4in key, and your shaft is 3/16 , not good

I would look into another crankshaft or motor
